In Ejiogbe(first chapter of ifa), Ifa enlightened us that Mother Earth is Illusive. She can make you forget yourself.
If you keep running after her, she will drain you. The male Orisas who ran after her without proper knowledge got drained in the long run. If not for Esu that rescued Orunmila, she was already draining him too. But thanks to Esu for swift intervention. In the end, Orunmila overcame her and he saw her secrets.
Mother Earth is known as “Aye” in Ifa and she represents the material energy of Olodumare. She is in charge of all the material things that we are enjoying in this present lifetime.
While you enjoy her goodness make sure you control your senses. Else, she will capture your heart and use your energies to enhance herself.
She will make you be on the RUN throughout your lifetime. And if you leave this body without understanding who she is, you will come back to her and continue the race.
Control your desire for material pleasure!
