When you love to show up on time for things that can add goodness to your life, it is a sign that you know how to use your time on Earth.
Ifa enlightened us that, the goodness of Ori is available to everyone on earth. However, those who are punctual are liable to enjoy it more than those who are not. In other words, those who take their devotion to Ori seriously and perform their duties on time, would have access to the blessings(ire) of Ori. Esu would always provide opportunities for such people.
Let us use the story of Tetede as a case study in the odu Ogbe Iwori(the 18th chapter of Ifa). In this odu, ifa told a story of a woman called “Tètèdé” and how she enjoyed the blessings of Ori because of her punctuality.
Tètèdé consulted Ifá regarding Financial blessings. Ifa encouraged her to offer ẹbọ to Esu and to be punctual at the spiritual meetings that she used to attend.
Meanwhile, on each meeting day, the irunmole used to bring gifts for the attendees. But because they were latecomers, they always miss the blessings.
Having heard the instructions of ifa, whenever the priests and Priestesses call for a spiritual meeting, Tètèdé would get there first, and on time. She would clean up everywhere and get the place ready before the others arrive. She was really devoted to her duty.
Èṣù was taking notes of everything. Remember he is the creator of opportunities.
Because she had already offered ẹbọ, Èṣù opened her inner eyes and she was able to see the doings of the irunmole. Esu then inspired the Irunmole to handover the gifts to her(Tètèdé).
So whenever the irunmole bring their gifts, they would hand over them to Tètèdé because she was punctual. And that was how Tètèdé began to enjoy the blessings of Orí.
Punctuality is one of the Iwa that will keep us aligned with Orí, and enable us attract the blessings of Orí easily.
Whether we like it or not, Orí is taking care of everybody. But it is our responsibility to be punctual to the things of Orí, so that we can enjoy Grace in abundance.
